We are really pleased with our iron work fencing and gates, supplied and fitted by Giles Stuart at Abbott Street Forge and which keeps children and dogs in the garden. The very best thing is that Giles' work looks so natural with our old Dorset cottage. Everything was done in an orderly and timely way, without fuss. The price compares well to other forms of fencing which need much more maintence.

First class bespoke traditional iron monger and excellent craftsman. Giles visited to measure and fit a bespoke security iron gate as part of rehabilitation of four rescued disabled hedgehogs. These hogs would not live long in the wild and would be easy prey but now they can live out their natural lives in the peace and safety of a beautiful wildlife friendly back garden. This required a sensitively designed long lasting iron gate. Giles took time to find out what was needed and crafted the perfect side gate. He gave advice on the structure covering important features i had not considered and provided first class after care advice. Giles is not just a highly skilled and experienced craftsman but also an artist in his chosen craft. He was easy to work with but quietly confident and he produced the perfect gate. A year later he returned free of charge to repair some minor damage caused by a mishap from a visiting workman. No fuss, he assessed and repaired the damage as good as new. He is the best in his field in Dorset!!! Thank you Giles
