AVOID AT ALL COSTS PLEASE!!!!! if you are trying to rent a lodge here or have any plans to do with NHL staycations. Edit: came back to update as at the time I did not want to give away my identity. We arrived at this place and it was a worksite lol the view was literally worken carrying out work right infront of the lodge. There was no lake. They have absolutely horrendous communication. No one there to help with any issues. Phonelines are not manned. If anyone answers they say no one available ot they will get back to you and don't. If you have any issues with the Hot Tub then they assume no responsibility. Even though you paid extra for it. Honestly stay somewhere nicer where they are not making a quick grab for your money. The surrounding areas and things to do such as the air show museam are fab. They were a nightmare to deal with and after tracking down others on FB after my ordeal did I realise what a con this place is. The lodge itself is nice when it is working! But that's if it is working. We had many issues!!!!

Firstly, no luxury lodge was provided, we stayed in a static caravan. Secondly, upon booking we where told it was a lake view. This wasn’t true no lake on in sight for us! Thirdly, caravan was full of dog hairs and had the kids sneezing and coughing all weekend. Fourth, didn’t expect to spend all day Saturday cleaning and scrubbing the caravan out, to have it an acceptable standard. Fifth, hot tub was filthy, green grimy tide marks all over the sides. Full of hairs. We called the reception to have this looked at and when fella came to have a look, he said filters where clogged, it has had a lot of fairy liquid in the tub and was stuck on eco mode, all day Sunday kids couldn’t use the hot tub till rectified and settled for an hour. Fellas also asked us if we had put fairy liquid in the hot tub which we answered no(as we didn’t). And was pretty upset when he was cheeky enough to ask us are you sure?! I could have dunked him in it! Sixth, we ordered at the restaurant which advertises all over the site as takeaway food. For the restaurant to decline order of 60 odd pounds and say it will be days before we get it back. We had to resort to jump in car and eat out which we didn’t want to do. As drive was over 20 mins before some where open was available. Seventh. The noise on site Friday and Saturday night was pathetic with shouting and screaming and loud music on till earlie hours. Made the office aware which once again nothing was acted on, absolute terrible. Nothing Luxury about this site at all. Made staff aware and asked complaint procedure, which all company should have as standard. Which I get the response management will be intouch after 7 days. Alls they want is you off site. I have requested for security deposit to be returned, and explained caravan is cleaner than when we arrived. No joy yet! The preference was for golfers not for folk in the lodges. Absolute disgraceful! Shocking read above.

The golf course is great for casual golfers and beginners. The online site is great to book and pay without having to make an account. Fairly reasonable for 9 holes but don’t select 18 as you just repeat the course. Not the best course for more serious golfers but very friendly and open to all.
