    DO NOT USE. Suit jacket did not fit after tailoring. Demanded payment in cash upfront. After challenging her - I was told that it would fit after steaming. Took to two other tailors for second and third opinion. Both shocked at work done on jacket. Confronted tailor and she did not offer a refund and persisted to shout at me.     Avoid at all costs. Ruined a pair of expensive jeans but refused to accept responsibility. Cut the jeans way too short during shortening and attempted to attach different material to rectify. The hems are not even and there’s a very visible double stitch line and artefact. The result is just a joke. Elly accepted she had made a mistake at first during a second fitting but then tried to confuse the issue. Unpleasant overbearing bullying manner throughout. Only took cash and no receipt provided. Buyer beware!! Having seen the response to my post from the owner, I am supplying some additional information for those who may still be tempted to use her services. Firstly, it is laughable that she is suggesting I am merely pulling the jeans up and that she did not make a mistake while measuring/altering! Secondly, I collected the jeans along with a few other items that she had repaired, just before I left for the airport. I decided that to get my other items back, I would have to pay for all the repairs and then seek compensation afterwards. As the only way to contact her is by phone (she has no email or message service), I waited until I returned back in the country to contact her again. I made a very fair offer, without prejudice, of only asking for the value of the £70 repair to be returned rather than compensate me for the replacement cost of the jeans. This was to simply cut my losses. Unfortunately, this was met with confrontation and the same monologue. Thirdly, I am horrified that my visit was recorded without my permission. I understand this is someone's front room but it is also clearly being used by the public. There are no adequate changing facilities other than standing in a different area. I did not expect to be viewed by Elly while quickly trying on the jeans and certainly not recorded.

    Called to ask for a rate of adjusting a suit jacket. I asked many questions in order to understand where on the jacket needs adjusting. The guy on the phone said as if I couldn’t afford the service. He told me he didn’t have time to explain it and suggested me to try somewhere else. Impressive!

    Based on ok google reviews I tried to use this business for an alteration. After finding it difficult to book an appointment I was required to phone the seamstress when I was near the google address so they could direct me to their flat. They struggled to direct me to their door shouting at me on the phone and then when I finally met them they made me stand in the rain and show them what I wanted - I immediately left.     Came in on good Friday to get my favourite pair of linen trousers repaired. I explained to them that I needed the trousers repairing as soon as possible and they were able to repair my trousers with in the hour, both were kind and professional and definitely will be returning should I have any other repairs needed to my clothes.
