Booked an investigation for steering and suspension issues with Alton 4x4 and on arrival was told they don't now do work on Jeeps. It would have been nice to have been told this before committing to a £125 inspection fee and driving 3 hours to get there. Inspection was apparently completed and a huge list of problems highlighted verbally but nothing provided in writing to help find another garage who could do the work Alton 4x4 wouldn't take on Following discussion with Jeep specialists and owners and a much more helpful garage the huge list of faults claimed by Alton 4x4 turned into just one item needing attention (drop links) and definitely not the expensive replacement of ball joints, which I got confirmed by an MOT tester. Overall very disappointed in Alton 4x4 for the service I received. Service: Steering & suspension repair
