So me and my partner have lived in gosport for 6/7 years now, and out biggest issue has always been having somewhere "nice" to go. I didnt even relise gosport had a marine till a few weeks back. So we have been here 3 maybe 4 times. Twice for food and a couple of times for a drink. For a drink this place is stunning, out side views great selection and not over priced. Dosnt get that all day sun but that is no fault of there's. The first time we went for food it was me, my other half and our daughter. I called in advance just to check times, if kids are allowed all the normal stuff. On the phone call I was quickly told, they where fully booked and we can sir outside if we can find a table. It was explained to me that we would not be a priority if sitting out side and it could be a long wait as they priorities the inside restaurant guests. We where in no rush and this wasn't an issue. We shared a pizza, a platter and some fries. The next weekend rolls round and we are child free (not planned) so decided we would go again for dinner. On arrival, it's was packed!! Half the place was a private function, other half was a full restaurant!! I asked about a table for 2 and was told they whete fully booked but outside again wad an option. Same situation not a priority. The owner even came up to me her self to explain. She was polite, to the point and apologised. Again we where in no rush and said outside would do fine.... then 5 minutes later she came back and said she had got us a table inside and would we like to sit? Of course!! From start to finish everything wad amazing, every member of staff friendly and knowledgeable. Fast and on point. This place again wad stacked, but every member of staff made us feel like the only guests. For food, again we split a platter (lovers tiff). The bread was fresh, meats high quality, and cheese just melted. Perfection on a place. Mains we had meatballs, a chicken burger with "posh" OMG!! Get them, it's fries on crack & garlic ciabatta. I couldn't fault it. Pasta was perfectly cooked, chicken juice and did I mention the fries. This place is a gem, the management are friendly, welcoming and caring. Staff that make you feel at home (owners should be proud) All in all an amazing experience and we will be 100% back...... I'll book next time though!!

We often use Artys and are never disappointed, yesterday we were going for a family birthday. Unfortunately one of our party had a fall just behind the restaurant. The whole team were so good . They bought cushions and umbrella a chair , checking to see if we were ok frequently. They also bought us drinks round which was a blessing in the heat . Whilst waiting for an ambulance. Thankfully we are home now … we will be back soon to celebrate and enjoy the food x
