FAQ

What is the ratio of children to caregivers in your playgroups?

Our playgroups have a ratio of one caregiver to every baby or child in attendance. This ensures that each child receives individualized attention and care during their time with us.

What is the age range of the children in your playgroups?

Our playgroups are designed for babies and children from birth to 3 years old. We have different classes tailored to specific age ranges, so each child can participate in activities that are appropriate for their developmental stage.

What safety measures do you have in place to ensure the well-being of the children?

We take the safety and well-being of the children in our playgroups very seriously. Our facilities are regularly cleaned and disinfected, and we have strict health and safety protocols in place. Our caregivers are trained in first aid and CPR, and we have emergency procedures in place in case of any incidents.

What is the daily schedule and routine for the children in the playgroups?

Our playgroups are designed to engage and stimulate the babies and children in attendance, while also providing a routine that they can become familiar with. Each class includes a variety of activities such as singing, dancing, sensory play, and more. However, we also understand that each child is unique and may have different needs, so we are flexible in our approach to ensure that every child feels comfortable and happy.

Are there any educational components included in the playgroups curriculum?

Yes, our playgroups are designed to be both fun and educational. We use a variety of activities to help babies and children develop their cognitive, social, and physical skills. Our caregivers are trained to incorporate learning opportunities into the playgroups, such as introducing new words and concepts, encouraging exploration and discovery, and supporting the development of fine and gross motor skills.

My son & I absolutely loved coming along to these classes every Friday morning, we attended for an entire year & I was gutted when it was time to graduate him. The classes are set up & structured in such a lovely way which are really engaging for babies of all ages; Lights, bubbles, music, absolutely brilliant. Tamsin is also such a lovely person who really cares, she puts her heart & soul into every session & always remembers all the babies by name. Don’t even think about it, just sign up!!! 😁

As a new mum I was lost on what to do with my baby in terms of classes and activities. when looking online and seeing my friends going to baby sensory classes at Rayleigh it looked really and engaging for my friends babies so booked when my daughter turned 6 months. From the first class my daughter loved it. She is so engaged with the host of the class also different themes each week which really great! We have noticed she is really learning and picking up new skills such as clapping and being more engaged when playing with toys at home. I really enjoyed this as a mum also as my week is broken up a reason to go out and also meeting new friends! This is such a lovely class to go to to create a stronger bond with your baby and also for their development. Only thing I would add is I wished I found this class earlier as this location only hosts up to 13 months. If they offered an older class range I would 100% be coming her every week. They also do a discount when re-booking the classes if you are member already which was amazing! Great work girlies!

Absolutely recommend baby sensory at the snug! We have been attending since my little girl was a few months old with Tasmin. Such a cozy and friendly atmosphere and a great environment to meet new mummy friends. Each week we have a new theme where the snug is decorated to fit into the theme. The amount of thought that goes into each session provides such an amazing sensory experience for the babies to learn and develop. Tasmin teaches you things that you can do at home to help your baby develop giving you tips and ideas. I would really recommend this class to any parents with babies as my little girl has made friends she will grow up with and absolutely loves attending the classes and gets excited when she hears the baby sensory hello song even when we play it at home.

I have taken my baby here since he was 3 months old. He’s now 10 months old and absolutely thriving and I strongly believe baby sensory plays a massive part in this. He’s learnt so many things and every week I watch him become more independent. The ladies who run the classes are so lovely and so patient and kind to each baby. I’ve made some great friends for myself too which is an added bonus. Will be gutted when it’s time for my little one to graduate!

I began taking my daughter to Tamsin’s baby sensory classes when she was 3 months old. I was instantly made to feel so welcome by Tamsin’s lovely, warm and friendly nature. Each session was fascinating for both baby and carer, the thought and effort into every detail is outstanding. The venue was beautifully decorated every single week to fit the different themes. The resources promote curiosity, independence and exploration. Each session is different and exciting, whilst still being consistent in routine which helps each baby feel comfortable and settled in a familiar environment. My daughter is now 18.5 months old and still instantly stops what she is doing when she hears ‘Say Hello to the Sun’ to join in with the actions. The classes have made such an impact on her and this is all down to Tamsin’s wonderful, positive influence. I look forwarding to attending in the future if we are lucky to have more children.

I attended baby sensory classes with both my children they were often the highlight of our week. The snug venue was a wonderful addition and really did make the experience even more special. The ladies were always so enthusiastic and the room looked very inviting. An added bonus my children were so tired after an amazing sensory experience they had the best nap 🙌🏻 x

This was my absolute favourite class which I took my babies to. The class leaders knew so much about the developmental benefits and helped me with other questions about all sorts of baby related things! Our NCT class booked altogether and it was lovely to share this experience. I really cannot recommend it highly enough!
