Lovely building, really helpful staff but food was awful. I had egg benedict, the hollandaise sauce was dreadful. It was the consistency of single cream, maybe thinner. The eggs were rubbery. To be fair to the waitress, I explained that the sauce was wrong and she offered to replace the dish, but I refused as I was eating with others. Its a pity as I've had good meals here before

I ordered 2 sets of pancakes - one bacon stack and one fruit stack. These were some of the best pancakes I have ever had, very fluffy inside and had a great flavour. The bacon pancake was flavourful, drizzled in enough sauce to moisten the pancake, and salty. However, I found the bacon to be difficult to eat, it was quite tough compared to the pancake which made it difficult to fork. It was like I was eating two things that don’t go together. The fruit pancake on the other hand was rather dry and dull, as it wasn’t covered in as much sauce as the bacon pancake. The fruit on the edge of the plate stole the spotlight, and shouldn’t have been the most enjoyable thing to eat on this pancake dish.
