Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was comfortable and clean, with a comfy bed and nice hot shower. Price per night is very reasonable. The owners are very welcoming. The main reason for stay was to visit the NYMR, which was only 10 minx walk away. It's in a great location with parking and you can access everywhere by foot. There's a variety of breakfast options, I had the eggs benedict every day during our stay as I really enjoyed it! Hoping to stay again soon!

Rooms: Spotlessly clean. Nicely decorated and furnished. Plenty of tea/coffee etc everything topped up as requested We stayed in room 2 it was very quiet with a pretty view. The property was easy to find with off road parking in a courtyard next to the beautiful cottage garden. Food & drinks: Very good breakfast, plenty of choice and seamless ordering system. Great service and tasty breakfast. Helene and Richard are friendly and attentive hosts.

Situated in a loverly quiet area close to the church and centre of Pickering. Can't find fault spacious en- suit room with seating and dressing area. Fantastic breakfast menu and polite friendly hosts Helene and Richard. Will return and already recommended the Bramwood to friends and family. Superb guesthouse. Richard and Helene were friendly and helpful. Everything was immaculate. The location is ideal with easy parking and Pickering is a lovely typical Yorkshire town. Nearby activities: North Yorkshire heritage railway from Pickering to Whitby. Love the trains and the picturesque route. Easy drive to park and ride for York. Lots of lovely villages to visit in the N Yorks national park. Food & drinks: The best breakfasts with lovely choices. Able to order exactly what you want in detail.

We have just had a lovely 6 night stay at Bramwood. Helene & Richard are a lovely couple who were warm and friendly from our welcome and throughout our stay. They provided local information and made suggestions of places to visit and we enjoyed 2 lovely days out on those recommendations. Our room was spotlessly clean as were all other communal areas, i.e. breakfast rooms, sitting room, stairs, etc. The decor throughout is very tasteful and there is good quality furniture in rooms. The storage is very generous. The bathroom had a good shower with an uninterrupted supply of hot water and there was plenty of storage for toiletries. There were also complimentary toiletries included. There was a good selection of tea & coffee on the hospitality tray and nice biscuits too. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and a good system in place for ordering what you want. The service was excellent and the food was cooked to perfection. There is a lovely cottage type garden at the rear of the property with lots of established plants and trees. There is seating to enjoy the garden and lots of small birds enjoying the habitat. There is private parking in a courtyard at the rear of the property and we didn’t have any issues parking during our stay. Great location on a lovely quiet street just 5 minutes walk to the town centre. Lots of small shops, cafes, take aways and eateries. There is a lovely small Italian restaurant called Figaros, need to book as very popular and the food is lovely. Pickering is a lovely picturesque location in its own right but it is also a great base to travel to other villages and towns. We did a coastal walk in Scarborough, visited Peasholm Park which was lovely, Helmsley and Thornton Le Dale which is a beautiful “chocolate box” looking village. Pickering train station is 5 mins walk where you can go on the North Yorkshire Moor Railway to Whitby. We loved the steam train journey to Whitby but you could also drive there. Lovely little village green with plenty of seating and a town square, nice to sit with an ice-cream whilst enjoying the sunshine and watching the world go by. Would definitely visit here again, lovely part of the country.
