FAQ
What is the cost of using your rowing area, and are there any additional fees?
Our rowing club offers different types of membership, and each has a corresponding fee. The cost of using our rowing area depends on the membership type that you choose. As for additional fees, we have a one-time joining fee for new members. We also charge a fee for boat storage if you own a boat and want to keep it in our boathouse. Are there any restrictions on the use of the rowing area, such as age limits or experience requirements?
We welcome rowers of all ages and skill levels. However, for safety reasons, we require that all members have completed a Learn to Row course before they are allowed to use our boats. This course covers the basics of rowing and safety procedures. After completing the course, members can use our boats during scheduled rowing sessions. What safety measures are in place to ensure the safety of rowers using the area?
We take the safety of our members very seriously, and we have several safety measures in place. We have a safety boat on standby during all rowing sessions. We also require all members to wear a life jacket while on the water. In addition, we have a set of safety rules that all members must follow, and we conduct regular safety drills to ensure that everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency. Can non-boat owners still join the club?
Yes, non-boat owners are welcome to join our club. We have a fleet of boats that members can use during scheduled rowing sessions. We also offer a range of membership types, including social memberships for those who just want to be part of the club without rowing. Are there any restrictions on where members can take the boats?
Yes, there are some restrictions on where members can take our boats. We have designated areas where members are allowed to row, and we provide maps of these areas. We also have a set of rules that members must follow, such as staying within the designated areas and avoiding busy shipping lanes. Failure to follow these rules can result in disciplinary action or even expulsion from the club.Reviews

Rowed there as a 16 year old in 1999-2009. I would advise anyone with kids to bring them here as it will teach them team work, discipline & that hard work really pays off. I went on to achieve great things in the club, traveled all over the south coast & had a great time doing it but most importantly it taught me great life lessens that I believe helped me in the success of my own business. A lot of the people there have been at the club their whole lives with a wealth of knowledge to impart to young & older rowers. It’s a safe community where they’ll be as fit as a fiddle. Definitely recommend!!!
