After you pay your money you will not have access to a live person. Communication only occurs through message boards. There is no personal feel. I had to have labs drawn before they would do my COC panel. Then the next round of labs I had done they sent the order before I had the instructions. I didn’t know I need to be fasting so yet again, I go back to the lab to do the labs again and this time they didn’t send the lab order to the lab. So the cut off time that I need to have the labs drawn by and be fasting passed. So that means I’m gonna have to go back to the lab again a third time. They don’t care about your convenience. There’s no clear communication or consistent communication. They won’t tell me when I can meet with the oncologist until the labs are done and they are screwing around getting those done. If you have an urgent need to be seen by anyone don’t pick this organization. They obviously are understaffed or have internal communication issues. If you don’t mind only having communication through message boards, and it taking forever then this will be the place for you. It is not concierge’s medicine even though you’re paying cash for it. They are super quick to get a live person to call you when you are interested in signing up but after that, it will be crickets chirping. I am thoroughly disappointed after reading Jane’s book and hearing all of the wonderful things that this organization can do there’s a real problem and a disconnect between them and their patients. I can’t right there oncologist because I sure haven’t met with one and it’s been over a month since I paid. And I paid for six months of care upfront, and the clock is ticking, and I have yet to receive any care.

I have just made a call to Care Oncology London to ask them if, should a friend start on their protocol, we would get timely emails, prescriptions etc, since some reviews complain about that. I was called back very quickly, and told by a kind staff member that Care Oncology US is very understaffed, but that COC London runs without problems. I hope my friend will go through with it but sadly, many people only consider this excellent option at the very last moment. Read articles in The Guardian and New York Times about the promise of repurposed drugs. This is orthodox medicine, and not as one (clearly not genuine) “reviewer” wrote snake oil. The dishonest reviewer also wrote that there are no MDs and oncologists at COC. I have no idea why someone would spread lies like that, and discourage hopeful people from pursuing this additional treatment that has so fewer side effects than ordinary chemo (it is, of course, also chemotherapy, and many people take both at the same time.)

Terrible communication once you’ve paid their $925. There is no direct line-only voicemail. Most of the time, once you’ve paid, you will not hear back from them. After multiple calls and several e-mails, I received a email answering NONE of my questions or requests. They wanted to charge me twice for the oncology appointment. It’s not a reputable organization.

Dr Padman Vamadevan was my first contact when I went to the Care Oncology Clinic in Harley street for the first time. He is a very professional doctor. The protocol of repurposed drugs was explained at the correct level for me to understand. Time was taken to answer my questions and the possible side effects were explained. However the drugs used have minimal side effects, especailly compared to chemotherapy. Dr Padman Vamadevan has monitored me closely looking at my blood levels and scan results with reviews 3 monthly. During the reviews I am given the opportunity to ask any questions I might have about the protocol I am on. Dr Padman also takes time to talk about other aspects of my treatment and care. The repurposed drug doses are titrated if needed and repeat prescriptions are issused after bloods have been reviewed. I believe that this drug regime along with the chemotherapy I am on is definitely prolonging my life. Dr Padman is approachable, professional, very knowledgeable and very accurate when it comes to managing my case and writing reports for my GP and oncologist. I can not praise the Care Oncology Clinic highly enough. The staff arefantastic andctge service is brilliant with quick respibses to emails and phone calls. I would reccommened anyone with cancer going to this clinic to get drugs to help slow down the cancers growth. I feel it would be criminal not too. Thank you so much!
