Visited recently during a trip to the UK and were so glad this was on our itinerary! My husband is very interested in history, so he greatly enjoyed the museum and its interactive station. The ruins were amazing to see and take in just how old they are (really puts our place in the timeline in perspective). I really enjoyed how beautiful the area is surrounding the fort with beautiful farmland all around and the river at one side. We drove in from the east coast area and that drive alone was absolutely gorgeous and well worth the trip!
