My opinions: CICAIR ignored the majority of my complaint and dismissed it without addressing the main points. The company which I complained about told me they were not concerned if I complained to CICAIR, because one of their Directors works with CICAIR's "Independent" Complaints Panel. Please do not waste your time complaining to them. I agree with the review below.

CICAIR are a corrupt organisation that supports corrupt approved inspectors and are not fit to regularise the Approved Inspector system. The overwhelming evidence that I submitted was never put before the Independent Complaint Panel. It was replaced by their own trivial complaint The approved inspector left the property with an inadequate lintel insisting that it did not need to be inspected. They had been informed by their own site surveyor that the lintel was subject to control. I also informed them that Building Control had insisted it required inspection. The lintel that was later failed by Stockport Building Control. CICAIR’s findings were that jhai, the approved inspector that covers the whole of England and Wales and carries out 12,000 projects annually, complied with all their legal obligations and acted professionally throughout. They also decided that Jhai did not benefit financially from the deal they had with the builders, whereby the builder gives them lots of work and in return, jhai don’t inspect everything. I estimate JHAI’s annual fees based upon what I was charged to be in the regional of £15,000. This is a Government appointed Regulator responsible for the public’s safety. The situation is actually far worse than this but I’m keeping it brief.
