I have recently undergone bypass surgery in Harley St. clinic (dec 22) and I was advised to follow up with a cardio rehabilitation programme with CP+R. They are a great company and have amazing staff working for them - helping people like myself to pick their life back up and build your confidence in living a normal life again. I have moved on to building again my gym routine and feel confident in exercising after what my body and my mind have gone through. Highly recommend their services. Thank you CP+R team. I was introduced to CP&R 14 months ago following a primary PCI at age 73. I had an ejection fraction of 36%. I wanted to see if I could improve that and generally increase my physical activity. Over this period I have benefited from working with 5 different coaches on a programme of weights and resistance that has taken account of really long term rotator cuff and groin/hip injuries. The sessions are uplifting. Each coach has been highly motivational and supportive and I am indebted to the whole team. Thank you.

I started with CP+R (Clinical Prevention and Rehabilitation) almost a year and half ago after my unexpected triple heart bypass. They were recommended by the Cardiac nurse at the hospital for my heart recovery and rehabilitation. They have been transformational, not only for my health but also to my family. CP+R has a great team of Cardiac Coaches, Experience Managers, Clinical Nurses and various experts (medical Professors and Consultants etc) that generate a science based personalized program of supervised exercises, nutritional advise, “homework” goals (exercise or lifestyle), and step goals to help you recovery and regain your fitness from your health issue. These form the Four Pillars of the CP+R philosophy and is supported my motivational advice, educational information, thorough assessment and continuous monitoring. CP+R differentiate themselves from the competition by their clinical, science-based approach to health and wellbeing. They split their program into 12 week session with a full assessment covering Cardiovascular (blood pressure, heart rate, CPET), Functional Muscular (Biodex machine), Metabolic(cholesterol, glucose, body composition) and psychological (HAD scale, exercise confidence and satisfaction survey). Although on the mid to upper end of the cost scale, the program is good value for money due to the expertise that is to hand, the assessment package and continuous monitoring and education and off course the results obtained. What value do you put on your recovery, good health, longevity and peace of mind! After 18 months with CP+R, I am probably fitter and stronger than I have been since my 20’s. Since COVID, the program sessions are remotely administered and I find this very efficient on my time, within my own home, without any hassle of travelling. CP+R utilise technology very well to run sessions, administer and educate its clients. This is carried out via the CP+R App (The Club House). The sessions are run via Zoom, with a laptop or tablet to provide video of me exercising and a mobile phone with a Polar Heart Rate monitor to provide my heart rate and other stats. Discussions, motivational messages and admin is conducted via a chat function in the App and via email. The recent use of Loom videos provides great feedback on Homework sessions. The only other things you need are some weights, an exercise machine if you have one and some furniture to work against. Every 12 weeks a 1-hour assessment is undertaken at a local centre and the results used to adjust your exercise, homework goals and heart rate goals. This Assessment is key – if you are not assessing then you are guessing as the CP+R slogan says. My experience has been great, with my initial recovery supported by Jacob, with his wealth of medical and exercise/training knowledge, kind and friendly motivation, dedication and professionalism. The recovery was built upon, by increasing my fitness and strength and improving nutrition. There is a great wealth of really useful information available from weekly “Sciencecast” emails, nutritional advise, training/exercises how to videos and specific medical information. CP+R has transformed not only my live but also my families – it has encouraged my wife to monitor my nutritional score and adjust the family meals, it has encouraged her to join a gym and even inspired my kids to check nutrition labels on snacks and bars they eat and even taken up weight training.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to CP&R a year ago at the age of 73, with 12 free sessions following angioplasty at London Bridge hospital. I have never looked back and have so much admiration for the skill, dedication and enthusiasm of every single member of their team. The trainers' knowledge is simply amazing and I feel totally protected in their hands. I look forward to extending my active life with their continued support.

Those whom have undergone open heart surgery will the anxiety that is experienced upon release from hospital and the vulnerability you feel - "how should I be feeling at this stage"; "how much exercise should I be doing and to what intensity" etc. etc. etc! Without the CP+R Team's professional and caring support it would have made it a very difficult time for my recovery and rehabilitation from the surgery. This support and caring has continued throughout the last year over which I have received consistently first class help from the cardiac coaches. I am particularly grateful to Josh for helping me through a very difficult time, Hannah, Izzy, Lucy and Bethan are others - awesome people, thank you all.

I went to CP+R to significantly aid my health and fitness through prostrate cancer treatment and recovery from a DVT. From my experience they could not be more professional, incredibly well trained, committed to a deep sense of care for their clients ( who they call athletes) and at every level both a super support and seriously in touch with the very best way to LIVE LONGER BETTER. Thankfully I am more than 5 years completely clear of the prostate issue and probably more fit and hopefully healthier than at anytime in the last 20 years! I cannot recommend these people more highly. Their values aren't just a written promise unlike so many other organisations these guys truly deliver.
