This butchers is in a prime location of the town centre and as such the reflection will be reflected in the prices here, which is the case but not unreasonably front of house flooring is not as clean as one would expect in areas.. otherwise the store is in pretty good condition great variety of meats and cuts and even a fridge freezer section with additional items that most standard butchers would not Where it fails for me is the fact that when i specifically asked if it was lean beef the burgers were of, i was reassured they were, but when cooked them for lunch the next day the amount of grease and fat that came out would suggest that its not lean mince the store can sometimes have the heavy smell of an abattoir as the meat is prepared on site, this might not be pleasant for most of you

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to this butchers 8th of August 2022 and walked right back out due to the overwhelming stench of rotten meat, I was assured that there had been a mistake with the freezing system. I then made a visit on the 18th of August 2022 and it smelled a whole lot better, it smelled like a good butcher, believing the issue to have been amended I purchased a leg of lamb. Big mistake, as soon as I removed the packaging I was hit with that familiar stench of rotting meat. To save the meat, I began to wash the meat, I had family coming for dinner and did not have an alternative, I was faced with grit and hair. I am absolutely devastated with this situation as I chose to go to a butchers rather than supermarket meat, you expect butchers to have a better quality of meat, I should have just gone to Asda!
