I usually go to this barbers to get my hair cut as they are much cheaper than anywhere else in my town to get a haircut. Usually they do a great job but today I went in and I was refused service because I am a woman. The lady said they were just doing men's cuts that day as they only had a barber, not a hairdresser in. I explained that I literally only wanted a dry cut, which anyone can do, so I would be happy with just a barber and not a hairdresser. She said she couldn't have me in the barbershop as other women might then see me in the window and then want a haircut. She was so rude and did not listen to me. I don't get how they can call themselves 'unisex' when they refuse to cut my hair for no reason other than I am a woman. Appalling.

went in today for a balayage/full highlights and a cut, imogen and her colleage were friendly and very welcoming. hair looks stunning, exactly what i wanted, really pleased with it and especially after the cut looks much healthier - imogen did an amazing job and took alot of care and time with it all. will definitely go back again in the future! We took our 4 year old for a haircut here and they did a great job. Whilst we were waiting we had our 2 year old with us who has never had a haircut before. They asked whilst we were waiting if we wanted to give her a trim and we said we were not too sure and that she probably would't entertain the idea. The hairdresser encouraged us to try and cut about 1cm off the back with one cut (not an exaggeration). At the end, whilst paying the bill, the lady at the till asked the other hairdresser how much to charge for the 2 year old and she said ' the same' - £11.50. We politely challenged that she didn't have a full hair cut (nor did we ask for one), to which she replied 'I dont make the rules, its on the board outside'. It would have be nice to know in advance that she intended to charge us £11.50. We would have happily paid half price, but this wasn't an option, she was set on ripping us off. So whilst we had a good haircut here, we will NOT be returning. Was it really worth ripping us off?
