Mr Ghosh has been my breast cancer surgeon since July 2015. When I came to him, I had developed cancer for the second time around in the same breast, and my only option was a mastectomy. At this time I was in my late forties, and otherwise extremely fit and healthy. It was devastating to hear that I would need to lose my breast, but Mr Ghosh handled the situation hugely intuitively and with remarkable care and consideration, laying out all the options and always available for me to talk through my (considerable) concerns. Having already had a lumpectomy and radiotherapy for breast cancer in the same breast in 2007, my options for reconstruction were limited, but despite this, Mr Ghosh was able to carry out a very successful procedure. I have since had a second mastectomy and reconstruction with Mr Ghosh and I’m extremely happy with the results of both - no-one would every know the difference, even in a bikini! The thing that I respect and admire most in Mr Ghosh, is the way he can manage very difficult and delicate conversations with patients, at the same time as carrying out these life-saving procedures and producing successful results that are aesthetically pleasing, with military precision! I can’t speak highly enough of Mr Ghosh and would gladly recommend him to anyone considering this type of surgery.
