Drakes has always been one of the more popular places to drink in Maidstone. Back in the 90's after a couple in the Muggleton we would often go and check out Drakes before moving onto one Maidstone's many clubs. With a pool table, dart board and many board games (my brother turned down a game of Kaplunk) there's plenty inside to entertain - but out in the courtyard there's also a large marque now and also for a more intimate time they've opened some 'stables' that have a nice cosy feel. Those that move with the times - stay with the times I believe and its well worth checking out this above average, long established piece of Maidstones pub culture !
