Great auction house, professional and quality items for sale. Don't understand the other reviewers as I've never had a problem and compared to other auction houses this one is one of the best.

Disappointing to say the least. Poor communication - put a bid in for an item and didn't hear any more assuming my bid was unsuccessful. Surprised to then receive an invoice about a month later for the item. When queried was informed several invoices were sent out which was a surprise to me. Felt obliged to pay for the item even though I had purchased a different item by then. Had it re-auctioned with the proceeds paid into my account at a loss of about £100. Just had an email from Duggleby's asking me to pick the item up!

Sold a film poster £15.00. Charged £5.00 lot fee ,£6.00 commission left me with £4.00. Will not be useing your auction house again. I've previously put around 30 lots through yourselves.

I buy daily from various Auctioneers across the Country, often with very disappointing results when it comes to the standard of service and efficiency. Duggleby Stephenson are outstanding in every way. I highly recommend them.

Purchased at online auction, using the DS bidding platform. Postage is displayed in advance, which helps with making decisions about bidding. After successfully winning a lot the invoice gave the option to add postage. Helpful and friendly when I called with a query. The packing was superb and the item arrived in under a week. Recommended auctioneers.

Poor valuation of jewellery. Brought in an AAAA grade Fire Opal ring (with tags) to be told £50. It is the best quality that money can buy and it was set in over 4g of Platinum with e-f graded diamonds on the shoulders. The Fire Opal alone was 1.6Ct. To give you an idea of how incorrect this valuation was , I could have removed the gemstones and sold the ring as scrap for over £80. I also had the best graded AAAA edison pearl earrings (again with tags) in 18Ct gold and was told £50 Even a 9Ct gold Sgl certified diamond ring was valued at £50 This was a very disappointing valuation and I really did not feel satisfied with the service offered. I was told that you can find similar prices on their website, but this is certainly not the case

Don't buy anything from Dugglebys without physically inspecting it. Apparently it's ok to conceal a hole in a table top and not reimburse the unwary. Avoid
