FAQ
What is the signature dish or specialty of your Basque restaurant?
At El Rincón, our signature dish is the Basque-style grilled octopus, known as "pulpo a la gallega." It is a must-try for anyone visiting our restaurant. How do you ensure the authenticity of Basque cuisine in your restaurant?
We take authenticity very seriously at El Rincón. Our head chef is from the Basque Country and has trained in some of the best Basque restaurants in Spain. We source our ingredients from local suppliers and import some specialty products from the Basque Country. What is the ambiance like in your restaurant, and is it suitable for special occasions?
Our restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere with warm lighting and rustic decor. It is perfect for a romantic date or a dinner with friends and family. We also have a private dining room available for special occasions such as birthdays or business dinners. Can you recommend any specific Basque wines or drinks to complement the food?
We have a great selection of Basque wines and ciders that pair perfectly with our dishes. We recommend trying the Txakoli, a slightly sparkling white wine from the Basque Country, or the Basque cider, which is a bit tart and refreshing. For those who prefer cocktails, our Basque gin and tonic is a popular choice.Reviews

A cute Spanish tapas restaurant in the centre of Summertown. The interior deco is stylish and cosy. Enough space between tables for us to enjoy our conversation. The food is good. We ordered 5 dishes to share between 2 girls (3 smaller ones from the 1st page of menu, 1 sea dish and 1 meat). Right amount for us. The waiters are very friendly! Will come back. A minor point is quite a few dishes are not available. I guess it’s because it wasn’t very busy and they were scaling down the materials.
