What a really interesting virtual tour this is! Chris is very friendly and very knowledgeable, and this is a well put together presentation. It makes me want to go up to Brixton right now but I guess that I will be better waiting until lockdown eases off a bit more. I look forward to taking part in more virtual tours. Thank you, Chris :)

Chris came to speak at Bromley History Society and gave us an amusing and informative talk about Brixton with many illustrations. Her wide knowledge of London allowed her to drew out links with the Bromley area which added to the interest of the presentation.

I felt compelled to express my enjoyment and appreciation for your thoroughly informative guided walk and tour of London Bridge, exploring and gazing upon the multifarious architectural landmarks of the London skyline, namely the Walkie Talkie, Shard and Tower Bridge. From the plethora of stalls at the world-renowned and historic Borough Market – each individually showcasing a bewildering array of products and food, to the wonderfully elaborate and grandiose decor of the Indo-British Lalit hotel; I can wholeheartedly say that the walk was an eye-catching and gratifying day out from start to finish. I thoroughly recommend anyone who is interested in partaking in this wonderful walk with an extremely knowledgeable guide [Chris] to sign up as soon as possible.

I have been on several walks and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them.Chris who runs First and Quirky London Walks provides a fantastic amount of relevant and interesting information about each walk. She is very enthusiastic and works hard to find out strange and quirky facts to keep everybody on her walks entertained. I found them very sociable ending in a local pub to chat

I have now been on three of Chris's London walks - covering Brixton, St Katharine Dock & Wapping and Bethnal Green. Very impressed with them all. Very well researched, Chris is a friendly guide whose enthusiasm shines through. Group size just right (usually around 8 - 12). A relaxed and unusually informal approach works well with some quirky sights and usually something extra (eg interior visits to the Old Town Hall Hotel and an historic library were bonuses on the Bethnal Green Tour). Plenty of visual aids. Walks end in a pub which is a great opportunity to meet other walkers and look at the very detailed notes / books etc that Chris brings with her, so allow extra time! In fact the only fault - if you can call it that - is that the walks tend to last longer than the allotted time! Highly Recommended for locals and visitors alike.

What an informative learning and enjoyable experience! Learnt a vast amount about this neighbourhood which is clearly misunderstood as lacking entrepreneurial spirit and history. Chris proves this time and time again as she peels back layers of history that Brixton is most definitely a place for entrepreneurs and where world firsts occur! She’s an incredible font of knowledge and provides a super start to getting to know a place which you think that you may know! Highly recommend a guided walk with her! As someone who has visited Brixton on a number of occasions, I thoroughly enjoyed this guided walk. Not only did it help me piece the town together, including the locations of famous sites like the 02 Academy and Brixton Village (Market), but it also helped me discover new places I never knew existed. I particularly liked seeing the cultural background of many of the local residents and businesses, as well as finding out more about their history at Windrush Square.
