I did initially give this site 5 stars, but after a subsequent conversation with the site warden - Bryan, I have reduced this to 3. Unfortunately, at the age of 53, I felt being rudely and abruptly spoken to like a naughty schoolboy was not really what I wanted for £17 per night. Strangely after this conversation my electric hookup was unplugged by 'someone' while I was out and my fridge defrosted....... ! Shame, nice site, but if i wanted to be spoken to and treated like that i'd have joined the army!

Lovely small camp site, peaceful and lovely green outlook. Have stayed cheaper places with toilets and shower. So bit over priced. Easy to get bus just round corner into Southend.

The owner of this campsite, Bryan, is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in our Motorhome for three nights recently - lovely views and walks. We were able to travel around on very frequent buses using our bus passes as there is a nearby bus stop, instead of trying to find carparks for the motorhome. Well recommended.
