Suffered with a skin condition for 5 years which my doctor thought could be due to a food intolerance or possible urticaria. Doctor asked me just a few questions and basically told me it’s eczema and there’s nothing he can do. Didn’t even offer any tests and didn’t say he would refer me to dermatology like he recommended. He said I’d have to go back to my GP for that and god knows how long I’ll have to wait.. I already waited over a year for this appointment and was reduced to tears when I left as I felt the doctor simply didn’t care. Didn’t ask any probing questions about my skin and I think because I wasn’t severely flared at the time of the appointment he just saw me as an eczema case however I am suffering nightly with feelings of my skin burning and sometimes feel feverish. He did not want to investigate my case more to ensure it was not an immunology case despite me waiting over a year on the waiting list when I was told 6-8 months wait. Not sure why, when I went the place was dead must only be one doctor working there! Making a formal complaint through my Gp.
