    Lunch ,very disappointing fish and chips .. fish grey , very pale batter .. not cooked fully . Items missing from what was described on the menu .. bread and tarter sauce. Not what was expected for this establishment and for the price . Desert again disappointing..bland and poorly presented.

    Came Sunday for lunch we booked well in advance we were given a bar table near toilets near the main door. The table was not set for Sunday lunch we asked to be moved as no one would want to sit there and spend good money , we were told we are full and you will have to wait for a table in main room. Why didn’t they advise us on booking we would be sat at the bar and we wouldn’t have booked . We waited half an hour but no table was given . The waiter I thought was quite arrogant when we asked how long it would be so we left very disappointed as we have been on numerous occasions.

    Great experience at the gaslamp for breakfast. Lovely atmosphere, the place is spotless, including the team, who are nicely turned out. Fully recommend going out for breakfast there. Full English is mega, pancake stack is huge and full of flavour. We loved it so much, we’ve been back again!!
