We have been here a number of times. Their seafood is good. The only people in Portsmouth who can actually properly cook a Lobster, without overcooking and ruining it, which takes skill. Their hospitality is also great, with the staff very attentive. The two Italian fellows also add a novelty to the experience, as they are always shouting and joking in Italian. A funny and friendly experience, so I would recommend.

Basically a pub with a dining area. Not too busy on our evening visit and food came quite quickly along with a glass of pleasant house red. Quantities were on the generous side. My only complaint was my affogato could have done with a bit more coffee.

We had gone to Portsmouth for a long weekend away and traditionally goto an Italian restaurant on the Saturday night for a meal. What a wonderful evening! After a little confusion about the booking we sat down to eat and had a wonderful evening. Giuseppe's is what I would call a traditional Italian restaurant with a very homely feel. The food is exceptional, the staff are very friendly (some even put on entertainment!) and the service was outstanding. If we are in Portsmouth again we will definitely be returning.
