First time trying this place I ordered the vegetable chow mein and chicken fried rice which I enjoyed as it was very tasty without being too oily, my partner ordered the vegetable curry with boiled rice which had mainly onions in, not many other vegetables at all apart from the odd pea which really disappointed him and he found 3 hairs in it :-/ I chose this place specifically for having a better hygiene rating and feedback from others on Just Eat but from his experience, we won't be ordering from there again

Don't order food from this outlet with Just Eat. They accept your order and then cancel it straight away. It takes a week to get your refund back if you are lucky.

False advertising for the duck pancakes. Absolutely abysmal chips that taste like the oil hasn’t been changed in about 6 years. Lamb in honey and spring onions… well if there was a spoonful of anything in there you would be lucky! Absolutely appalling customer service the manager has a negative attitude especially when we pointed out their false advertising, will never ever come back to these rip off merchants ever again. Disgusting food and service, the only person who was nice was the driver. Vegetarian options: Very limited and the vegetable chow mein was not great. The chips were disgusting and went straight in the bin

Best Chinese around! The Singaporean fried noodles are one of the tastiest I’ve ever tasted. Not soggy, generous with prawns and really flavoursome. I would highly recommend trying the chicken spring rolls, gyoza dumplings, the Chinese curry and the awesome tangy lemon chicken…. oh, and the lists go on! Truly authentic taste ( or as close as I can get back home :)

New to Northampton and trying all of the takeaways over time to work out which ones are worth repeat business. This is the third time ordering from Gourmet House (over the last 3 months too) and every time the food has been absolutely top notch. Not too greasy, flavoured to perfection, not waking up at 3am massively dehydrated from too much MSG, this is seriously one of the best Take Aways I've encountered in the last 10 years or more. The satay is delicious, the sweet and sour balls have a crunchy batter without being stodgy, and the ribs fall off of the bone. The one big disappointment is that there are no regular spring rolls which are usually one of my staples to munch on as I'm dishing everything else up.
