Alan re-finished two floors for me. He came to quote when he said he would, he quoted when he said, he attended on the days agreed, his work was excellent and his invoice was for the amount of money agreed in the quote. He clearly knew his work and I was relaxed about having him in my home. This is a more professional service than many, many workmen offer and provide. I now have two beautifully finished floors. I could not ask for a more professional service.

He visited to assess the job and gave us a very reasonably quote for refurbishment against replacement. He carried out the job over 3 consecutive days to allow for drying/curing time and the floors look like new again. Very happy with the result.

I had used Alan Bell before and didn’t have a problem. My second experience was not so problem free. Cracks appeared between the floor boards after they had been filled and his attempt to fill in the holes caused by woodworm failed. He refused to ruturn to see the problems I mentioned since I had already paid him. He did nothing but complain from start to finish about the products I had chosen, which were different to the ones he was used to using, such as the old fashioned orangey stains. I wanted white and had white which looked great to begin with.
