Staff in the kitchen were not accommodating after I told the lovely waiter my coffee was burnt. She shared this with the barista staff to which they got angry and made her tell me that nothing was prepared wrong. To add to this the waiter came back and questioned me about whether or not I don’t like the taste of bitter coffee and that it’s my fault that I didn’t like it…Hmmm what a shame seeing I was a barista in a past life. But I’m merely just a customer and I don’t know anything. At least the kitchen staff could try to gossip about me more quietly so I can’t hear it? Or try not to stare at me from the open plan kitchen. Not professional at all, such poor service especially from a place like Harrods. It reminds you that maybe you should think about what you say and treat others. I was a tourist and had always dreamed of having a lovely meal here. Sadly I don’t think I’d want to visit again….

Visited as tourists and was quite disappointed in the customer service we received upon providing feedback that a coffee we ordered was burnt, after ignoring another burnt coffee we received beforehand. Our waitress was absolutely lovely, but was told by kitchen staff (quite loudly actually, that we could hear the lady yelling at her from our table) to tell us that they did everything correctly and it was OUR taste that was off. But both of my friends who received these coffees are baristas themselves, and typically like their coffee bitter.
