Although the field itself has a pleasing appearance and is relatively well kept, actually being on the field is quite a different matter. The cold, moist, harsh, windswept climate is extremely difficult to handle and could easily be compared to the climate of the Arctic Tundra which I can confirm with first hand experiences with both. To further the danger and difficulty of survival upon Hart Field, the local wildlife that inhabit the field can be extremely dangerous - deadly even. My associate and I were once attacked by 3 furiously disgruntled rats when walking our dogs around the north west area of the field. Despite this, I would still recommend to those who have survival/bush camping experience. Good luck!
