My baby daughter and I have received excellent care from Thirsk drs. Dr Longstaff took ownership of care in resolving daughter’s unknown skin condition, ensuring other dr briefed when not in and persisted in finding a favourable outcome. Also received excellent post partum care and support from Dr Featherstone and nurses. All staff and Drs have done their best to provide an excellent service and support to my family.

I was told not to come to the surgery if my temperature is higher than 37.2 (!?) I made a telephone appointment and was waiting for a call all day long. The doctor did not bother calling. No explanation or an apology has been given

Was with these Drs then moved away from Thirsk, returned 4 years later to Thirsk and knew I had to go back to them. Always so helpful and lovely. The receptionists are competent, professional and try their best to accommodate you. The GP’s are all so easy to talk to and really listen. The recent phone consultations have been very thorough, which has been reassuring in lockdown. EDIT Someone complaining about the receptionists asking what is wrong....these DRs have specialities and the reception staff can get you seen by the most suitable Doctor. If you don't want to tell the reception staff then politely tell them. Remember they are bound by NHS Code of Practice. Confidentiality is an absolute.

The reception are rude and unhelpful, they demand to know why you want an appointment like they are qualified to say weather its important or urgent or if you actually need an appointment! They have no right to know. Disgusted!
