    Xmas day dinner looking forward to a lovely meal but oh dear. No greeting on arrival member of staff unsure what to do with us said she would go ask, told we were to early at 14.25 for meal at 15.00. Asked at 15.20 if we could sit at our table, starter served at 15.45 by harassed staff member. Tables opposite uncleared. Sent back roast potatoes as could not even put a fork in replaced with some even harder. 2 tables next to us said the same. Beef nice and tender but accompaniments not good. Bernaise stuck so thick stuck in pot. Staff rushed off their feet felt very sorry for them. Paid full service charge for that reason alone. Will not be eating there again. Awful food and service what a disappointment on xmas day. Management should be ashamed of themselves

    Staff were lovely but run off their feet, food was not good, first meals came out cold, sent them back but all of the food was salty, bland and tasted processed. They gave us a discount after first offering free deserts (we were all on a fixed price 2 course menu which included desert). Would not eat there again just because the food was so bad. Staff excellent though.

    Food was good, not enough staff though! We got the feeling there was a Christmas party on in a banquet room because the 2 serving staff and 2 bar staff were run off their feet, every table was full, I felt sorry for them! I waited at the bar for half an hr to be served 4 drinks. No clean glasses , they were pulling them out of the dishwasher and rinsing them! No clean tables, simply not good enough. We were all disappointed.

    It’s the Malmaison bar! They don’t sell pints, only schooners.. 😛 Long-standing Malmaison lore dictates this. Only a couple of beers on tap these days, but they also have bottled Vedett 😻 Bar itself is small, but service is excellent and attentive. Complimentary snacks with your drink.
