Can’t fault Woodhaven. I have a dog who is nervous around new people, doesn’t like to be touched and can guard her bed so all round a difficult one to find care for when I’m away. It’s never been an issue for Woodhaven, and she always comes back waggy tailed and happy. Think she loves playing fetch in the yard with the girls and is comfortable enough in their company to sleep the rest of her time away. They’ve always replied to messages asking how she’s doing as well. Their intake form is really thorough so they get to know the dogs and they take a good record of what you are leaving with your dog to make sure it all comes back. Thank you Woodhaven for always looking after my girl when needed.

Our dog got out when my husband went for a run. A kind person picked him up and took him to Woodhaven kennels. They rang us to let us know that he was there, which was good, but then charged us £10 kennel fees to get him back. He was missing for less than an hour

Today is the 22nd January 2023. It is the first day since 07th December 2022 that we have not had to administer any medication to our cat Meldrew, who spent 3 weeks at Woodhaven Boarding Kennels late last year. We were phoned in St Lucia by the Kennels, the day before our return, to state that Meldrew was unwell. We asked if the Kennels could wait for our return the next day as we did not trust the vet not to euthanize Meldrew as he was 20 years of age but when we left him, was in great health. Upon our return, we were horrified to find him in a shocking state. Barely breathing, eyes matted, head leaning to one side and emaciated. I know when cats get ill, they can go downhill hill pretty rapidly, but this poor cat was in the last throws. And the vet, in my opinion , would have done the unthinkable given the appalling mess he was in. After we took Meldrew to the vets , and after not agreeing upon a multimillion pound care package, he had injections and drops were administered plus an x-ray and an overnight stay on the drip. Poor Meldrew was diagnosed with double pneumonia and a crack in his skull, probably due to a heat lamp above his head in the Kennels falling on him during his stay. But I am glad to say he is better now after lots of care, lots of medication, and lots of love, and lots of money. Sadly, we are disappointed with the care provided by the Kennels, whom we entrusted Meldrew and our Staffordshire bull terrier Frank with, for 3 weeks. We have managed to re-train Frank, who had picked up some strange habits during his time at Woodhaven, but of course, being incarcerated for 23 hours per day, boredom has set in and he has entertained himself the best way he could. In 3 weeks we only received 2 lots of pictures, which were taken on the same day. Woodhaven is a busy and caring business. However, that can lead to complacency, which, in our case, we think, is exactly what has occurred here.
