Everything I've ever tried from this butchers has been off the highest quality. The meats and sausages are excellent and the savoury items are amazing. The scotch eggs are fantastic with runny golden yolks encased in a huge amount of meat. The staff are friendly and helpful too. Very highly rated!

The food, the staff, the service and the overall bistro is full of quality, care and dedication. I visited here for lunch and the food was out of this world. My visit was made even better by the friendly care and welcoming that all the staff give their customers. This place is a rare find and just exquisite. I was visiting here so just want to say this is the best butchers I have ever been to and I live in Wales so we have good ones here. Was tempted by the steak but had to resist as forgot my debit card Bought a tasty sausage roll for my journey home including some haggis My partner said it was the best he had ever tasted that much that he would travel the 4 hours to buy it :) Well done to you all Kelso is very lucky to have you there 😊

A hidden gem. Who would have thought we’d find a French Bistro in the Borders? We had wonderful classic cooking and great service. We also picked up 3 great rump steaks from the butchers. Pure quality.

Oh my goodness! We called into the restaurant for lunch on our way home to York from Scotland. I couldn’t make my mind up but eventually chose Wild boar cross pork chop and decided to buy the sausages from the adjacent butcher to take home. I also bought haggis, eggs, potato cakes & huge salmon fish cakes! We’ve just eaten the amazing Cumberland sausages with the delicious fresh eggs & enjoyed the fish cakes yesterday! I can not fault a thing. The chop was the best pork in my life! We will definitely stock up again next time. Lovely staff, gorgeous presentation & amazingly fabulous food!

Sometimes, just occasionally you stumble across a place that gladdens your heart and this which Elaine and I found today did just that. A brilliant butcher but the icing on the cake is the deli next door. Perfect ambience, perfect service and wonderful cakes coffee and tea. Fully licensed, they also have a fantastic and imaginative main meal menu with daily specials. I simply could not praise highly enough; this place sets the bar on all parameters of excellence. Congratulations guys you’ve got it👍

We had the most superb lunch today and rushed to the shop part to buy some of what we'd eaten 😋 The matured comté cheese, the fragrant cuppa, the crusty sourdough bread and don't get me started on the chutney. We're going back next week! Also lovely friendly service and charming fellow diners.
