John was recommended to me for top quality furniture restoration. I needed some work doing on a 1950s cabinet and an ornate Victorian chair, both of which had become treasured family pieces. Both were in a poor state with sun damage and 60yrs of central heating. John came to the rescue! He and his colleague did a fantastic job with both items. I couldn’t be more delighted! As an added bonus he collected and returned both pieces. He’s very knowledgeable about furniture which has added to my appreciation of the items. They now look so lovely I’m enjoying them every day. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Brought a rather tired 1960s Eames chair and ottoman to John for sympathetic refurbishment. Easy to communicate with, setting out our objectives which he met exactly. Also offered excellent after care advice. Compared to other quotes he was very competitive and delivered when he said he would. Wouldn't hesitate to use again or recommend to friends

John did a fantastic job on our antique oak cane back dining chairs. He recained the backs and toned them matching the colour perfectly. He replaced one of the broken stretchers and repaired a broken upright and you couldn’t tell which. John also took the chairs apart and then rejointed as necessary and put them back together securely. He upholstered the seats, matching the leather wonderfully. Finally he removed splashes of paint on the wood, clean and waxed until it positively shone. He did it all for a very reasonable cost. We can’t praise him enough as you may have noticed! He loved doing them and was very knowledgeable. We would have no hesitation in recommending him for a similar job or any other he is equally equalified for.
