We loved our two-night stay at the Arnot House in July 2022. Kim, the owner, was the friendliest and most gracious host and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats with her. The nicely appointed room was very comfortable and quiet, and she thought of every single detail to make our stay pleasant. The location was easily accessible by foot to/from the train station and the city centre. Best of all, was the delicious full English breakfast. It was outstanding! We very highly recommend!

The decision to visit York, England was made. Now where to stay? We wanted a location close to the city center but away from the hustle and bustle. I consulted the Rick Steves guide to England and he recommended Arnot House as a good place. He was not wrong! After our reservations were made, the owner mailed us a guide map, restaurant recommendations, and a brochure for the house. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Kim who welcomed us and assisted with all our plans like a premiere travel guide. She was familiar with hours of operations, train and bus schedules, easy to follow directions and local weather forecast.
