Very friendly people for this e-bike newbie. I wanted a spare battery and unbeknown to any of us, Bosch does two types (the older fitting and newer smart system). Anyway, I bought the wrong one but within two days they got me the right one. Since then I bought some accessories from here and will now get my servicing done here. It’s a gem of a store to know.

Bought two Raleigh Motus Tour hub gear bikes from the York store. Thank you Simon & Jamie for your knowledge, help and advice - especially regards sizing, a 56 for me and a 41 for Jane. Bought them on Saturday morning and collected them assembled the following Wednesday. Could not be happier with the bikes nor the price we bought them for. They are brilliant to ride and have transformed our biking experience. The hub gears are superb. On cycle tracks where there are lots of traffic light crossings, it is possible to ride up to them whatever gear you are in, then drop all the way down to second for an easy start. Try doing that with derailleur gears! What these bikes mean in real terms is that we can now go for a ride together instead of one of us having to wait at the top of hills while the other caught up, usually pushing their bike on foot. Perfect for our retirement. Thank you.

As a customer I think you can tell a lot about a company when you have an issue. I accept that perfection is virtually impossible and the odd time a problem slips through the net. For me, the measure of a great company is the effort they expend in making the customer feel compensated for any inconvenience. As well as the extent to which they leave the customer feeling that they are a company that will continue to support them in the future. I have to say that the York shop and the director of this company have done exactly that. I have been a small business owner and curently lecture in business. I would be very happy with a shop that dealt with me in the way I was compensated and communicated to during my visit. I feel this is a creditable company that cares for its customers and would have no hesitatetion in recommending them to future customers.

Placed the order on line, received the usual auto email, followed next day by a call from Craig at the Cambridge branch. One of the bikes was not in stock, but would be available in 3-4 weeks, we were offered the next model up, the electric bike sales company offered to pay half the difference on the upgrade, cant say fairer than that. However, upgrade bike wasn't quite right for us. The original order continued. A couple of days later, Craig called to say the bike was on its way to the Cambridge branch for a service, 3 days after this the order was fully delivered all safe and sound. So 2 weeks from placing order to delivery, now thats what I call service. It was brilliant having a specialist to talk to and Craig went over and above to ensure the order was correctly fulfilled for us. Company overall good. Staff (Craig at Cambridge branch) outstanding.
