My child had hyperacusia and geniculate otalgia neuralgia which meant she was in constant pain, for nearly a year before seeing Jacqueline Sheldrake. Within three months of treatment she was pain free. The hyperacusia went, and so did the neuralgia! Life changing for my child.

As a professional musician I thought my life and career were over, I had some vey dark moments and unfortunately most ENT's and especially GP's know nothing about the genuine mechanism of tinnitus and hyperacusis and even less about how to treat it. I saw 3 different ENT's who all told me I'd have to learn how to live with it ( which actually made it worse ). TRT took me a while to fully grasp and whilst I was going through the worst of it Jacqui was in regular phone contact with me, honestly without this treatment and her insights I'm not sure I'd even be here now. Why TRT isn't more widely available and especially why it isn't even known about by the NHS is baffling to me. The BTA are an odd bunch IMO on their website they state its been shown to be effective and yet they don't recommend it because currently its only available privately. The few hundred pounds it cost me are nothing compared to being able to return to my life as a professional musician and my sanity. Thank you Jacqui.

I was debilitated with anxiety hyperacusis and tinnitus to the point I had to leave my job, I could barely leave the house. Jacqui's support was professional, caring and now I hardly ever think about my ears anymore. I can tolerate sounds again. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Upon two strong recommendations for Jacqueline, I called up to arrange an emergency appointment on November 14 for acoustic trauma on the proviso of being called back by her son, Nick, to have a chat beforehand (his mother was unavailable over this period). The callback never happened, despite phoning later that day several times and leaving an answerphone message. I should have taken heed of this but turned up nonetheless the next morning for the consultation with Nick, which was lengthy and very thorough, although I was concerned by hearing building works whilst having the hearing test. I was assured that the audiology results would be sent on ASAP. They weren't, and I had to chase them up several times by email and phone, also asking Nick two simple queries by email. Wanting to have the results in time for a NHS ENT appointment on November 30, the ENT that I saw that day was incredulous that I hadn't been sent them. They were finally emailed on December 2 after getting hold of Nick on the phone. He also assured me that he'd answer my queries. It's now December 24 and I still have had no response.
