my daughter started her violin lesson with James from last May during her preparation of grade 5, since then she has made a great progress. James is an excellent teach and very knowledgeable, we like the way he's teaching, not only taught my daughter technique but also make her have more understanding to the music and gain more knowledge on the composer. will recommend James to anyone who is looking for a good violin teacher.

Emily’s music learning journey
My 9 year old daughter, Emily, started violin lessons with James from January this year, to replace her very first violin teacher for two years. Over the last 7 months, Emily has made impressive progress. Not only she has progressed from just starting learning grade 4 pieces to being ready to tackle grade 6 pieces, her quality of playing has improved amazingly. James is an enthusiastic violin teacher. He is very organised, patient, and always punctual for lessons. James is an experienced teacher, he chooses teaching materials according to Emily’s needs and helps her to establish a good practice routine. Emily is a quick learner, so James always makes sure she gets challenged but without pressure. Last but not least, James is a very encouraging teacher. Emily is playing more and more confidently, and always leaves her lessons with a smile!
