The atmosphere of the place is very friendly and welcoming. However the menu seems to be quite lacking, after i ordered a garlic bread, margherita pizza and pepperoni pizza. The garlic bread seemed like a garlic flatbread bought from a local shop like ASDA with added cheese and was a little over cooked. The margherita pizza was nothing special, a simple pizza with sparse seasoning in the sauce used ,potentially a little undercooked, the pepperoni had uncooked dough halfway throughout and had to be sent back, the replacement was much better. May i also note that the service for two pizzas was incredibly slow, after taking our order a two top was seated next to us, ordered, and served with plenty of time before receiving our order. I would like to state that the two girls serving on the day we went were keen-eyed and attentive and extraordinarily lovely, the male server who originally served us was very attentive but to a severe degree where he would just stand against the bar and stare at me and my partner until it was extremely noticeable for us, whilst doing nothing else. Roughly £50 for everything mentioned plus 3 cocktails.

The first dish I ordered which I was told was mild heat wise by one of the waiters was actually too hot for me and he did not mention it had jalapeños on so the guy behind the till took my meal back and I chose something else which was very kind of him, the food was nice. They allowed my dog in which was an huge plus and it was quite relaxing, the prices were also reasonable for a meal! The only reason I’m giving this a 4 star is because I’m quite a picky eater and I feel like people should be told what’s going on or in their food by either waiter/waitress, as usually where I’m from we don’t have jalapeños in chilli, it would’ve saved time and hassle, especially for the guy behind the till. Oh and the bakes & cakes were lovely!

Found this place on Google and thought we would give it a try. We didn't come for the golf (even though it's in the Allerthorpe Golf and Country Club), we came purely for food. The place is very nice upon arrival and the staff are very friendly and approachable. The choice on the menu is quite varied and the specials are interesting - something for everyone. We had the Halloumi kebab and Retro burger - they didn't disappoint! The burger was one of the best I've tasted in a long time and the chips were amazing! The kebab, I was told, was very good, just a very large portion! Prices were very reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. In fact it was that good we came back for lunch again 2 days later - this time on a Saturday. We were expecting it to be much busier, but as the weather was attrocious, it was fairly quiet. This time I tried the Southern Fried Chicken burger and my wife tried the Schnitzel.... Again the food was very good, portions again were a little large, but this time we took some cakes home with us.... They were good too! The staff on the second visit were just as enthusiastic, polite and helpful as before and we really enjoyed ourselves. All in all a good place for food and drink, not overly priced, but excellent food! Highly recommended!
