I visited two different places before coming here as I didn’t feel like I found my dress nor did I have the experience every new bride should feel on their first appointment. Im so glad I came here, I’m beyond happy with the service I received. Never have I felt more comfortable, welcomed and made to feel top of the world. I came in not really knowing what I wanted but left with the dress of my dreams. I could not recommend this place or the staff enough. I will treasure my appointment for a very long time. Julie

I'm writing this review from the unusual (for the UK) perspective of a groom who accompanied his bride on the hunt for the perfect wedding dress. Iris will be posting her own gushing review about how amazing her dress was, etc, but I thought I'd also offer my two cents just in case there are any other men in my position ;) I actually looked forward to every one of our visits to La Creme. We always had a great time there, which is saying something as the other 10 or so bridal boutiques we visited were something of an ordeal... so I'm rather glad Iris found her perfect dress at La Creme in the end. Of course I must start by saying I got to see my wife-to-be (now wife) looking even more stunning than usual. As for what made La Creme stand out from the rest... Lucy is great fun and has a wicked sense of humour, as well as being incredibly skilled at everything she does. I never felt awkward in the slightest at La Creme. The shop is mercifully lacking some of the more cringe-inducing aspects of other bridal boutiques and Lucy really made an effort to keep me involved whenever I was there. Another recent reviewer appeared to take offence at the honest feedback they received at La Creme. Well what can I say... to each their own, I suppose? As far as I'm concerned, Lucy's and Jill's authenticity (always friendly and constructive, never insulting - just to be clear) is a HUGE selling point for La Creme. I found it rather hard to stomach the fake flattery that seems to be pervasive in certain other bridal boutiques, and La Creme provided a very refreshing change. Lucy and Jill, you guys are the best!

I had an unusual experience here with my bridesmaids yesterday. We didn’t feel very welcome when we arrived. I had my eye on the dress in the window and when I asked if I could try it on I was met with a lot of resistance and told it would be a lot of effort to take it on and off the mannequin. When I did try it on and thought it was beautiful I was told it wasn’t my dress and I should look elsewhere.

I came to the boutique as part of my best friends bridal party and I had the most amazing time! The ladies were the most welcoming people you could find and nothing was too much trouble. As soon as we walked in, the ladies were so calming and reassuring for my friend who was quite worried and for the whole appointment, they could not have been better. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly place to find the most beautiful gowns and contribute to the most wonderful business and women 🏼

I had the best experience here both of the ladies in the boutique made me feel so comfortable. I was very overwhelmed before going into the appointment and I left feeling very happy and satisfied. I couldn’t have had a better experience and cannot recommend them enough. They have the most stunning range of gowns and have the most beautiful bridal suite. If it needs altering then she is also the best person to do this, she seemed to know exactly what and how to make the alterations which were spot on. Cannot recommend their service highly enough.
