You can’t get better food than this! We had chump of lamb with all the trimmings.The meat was succulent and plentiful and all the vegetables cooked to perfection and the crowning touch was the delicious mint gravy. For dessert we chose apple and raspberry crumble which was unlike any we had had before! So crunchy with chunky fruit , to die for!!! All of the staff were attentive and very friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

From the moment we walked in, The atmosphere and hospitality was warm and relaxing. The service was very professional, polite and unrushed. The food ( we all had a roads) was exceptional. Very Generous portions and really good quality Lamb & Turkey which was cooked to perfection. Wine was of good quality and very reasonably priced. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Thank you to all of you for making my Mothers Birthday special for her. We will definately return. Visited again today 28/05/23 and yet again the Service, Quality of food and Portion side was nothing short of exceptional. We shall return soon from Essex.

First time I have been here despite living near here for a few years. Not a huge place and is only open for a limited time, Thursday to Sunday. So I recommend booking your table, especially on a Sunday, 2 weeks in advance. Food is really good and the portions are surprisingly generous. Cooked fresh all the time and to your needs where possible. Menu is ltd but in a good way, as this focuses on creating good meals in a reasonable time. Staff are fantastic, always attentive to your needs. Shall definitely be going back to try the famous! Pies. They again looked generous.

We had the 2 course Sunday lunch which we got a table luckily to a cancellation otherwise it's a 3 week waiting list and after eating it I can understand why, bloody amazing 😋 Top Tip: If there are 2 of you or equal amounts I advise sharing the starter and pudding as you not only save a bit of money you simply won't be able to eat it all. I'm currently laying on the sofa while writing this ready to burst 😂

First time here and really impressed with the quality and quantity of the dish. Had the Lasagne with garlic bread & the chips and tried the saute potatoes (not all ordered by me)😊. Key Lime Pie cheesecake for dessert with ice cream - which was a bit tasteless but pie was really nice. The ladies are lovely, service with a smile, which always goes down well, as who wants to be served by grumpy people 😀
