Dinner. The Grand York, the city’s only five-star hotel.Opened its fine dining restaurant, Legacy, in September last year. Head chef Ahmed (ex Skosh) has developed a fantastic menu that is dedicated to local provenance and showcases classic Yorkshire produce with a modern twist. Legacy is a small and intimate restaurant serving their 'Signature tasting' menu £120 pp. Once seated, appetisers are served with a complimentary glass of @nyetimber PARKERHOUSE ROLL Cultured butter, herb butter CONFIT BEETROOT* Yellison goats cheese, miso *one of the best beetroot dishes we have ever had. Not a 5 star room, twin room with only one chair, also card key did not work changed card still did not work cleaner helped us by calling maintence who changed batteries, disabeled lift to restaurant did not work so had to eat evening meal, breakfast and afternoon tea all set us up in whiskey lounge where tables to low, chairs not fit for purpose, then on evening I also caught my arm on table which was rough to touch in our room. Spa and pool really goo and relaxing, porters and reception staff really good and Sandra tried to help with the issues which were still out standing on our departure
