My Dad used a gift voucher I'd bought him to book a kayaking session. The company cancelled it hours before, citing weather concerns, despite it being a beautiful, still, sunny day – and, in fact, the warmest day of the month! They also told him they'd be closing for the season that very day, so he couldn't rebook. Despite this, even days later they were offering sessions on their website... which is a suspect way of getting payment from people and then not delivering on sessions. All communication requesting refund have been ignored. I'm really disappointed by this experience because, from other reviews, the instructors seem great. I guess the company handling them are disorganised and/or overwhelmed. I remember reading other reviews about late cancellations and unprofessionalism and should have heeded their warnings. I wish I'd saved £40 and booked with another company. I'm now working with FareHarbor, the voucher company used by let's Get Lost, on finding a fix and making sure others don't lose their money this way.

Did an unguided 2-hour Kayak trip. Absolutely wonderful staff and service. Provide you with all the gear for Kayaking, and a safety brief at the start. The route was so scenic and peaceful, in a great location, with cute pubs that you can go to at the end of the trip. Would highly recommend, especially for the summer. Will definitely be trying some of their other experiences in future

We had a great one hour taster session for our son’s 9th birthday with 3 other boys and 5 adults. The instructor Brandon was great with both kids and adults. He made sure we were all safe and knew what we were doing and then left us to have a really relaxed paddle for an hour. We all had a great time and I would definitely recommend Let’s Get Lost!

During an activity weekend in Leicester, kayaking here was the one myself and my eldest daughter were both most looking forward to - and it did not disappoint. When we arrived, Sophie our instructor showed us the kayaks and gave us options of which ones we wanted. We went in twos and, after the all-important safety demonstration, we donned our life jackets, picked up the kayaks and headed for the River Soar. After getting into the boats and, with Sophie's helpful hints and tips, we soon got the hang of the paddles and were journeying down the river. This, I think, was the most relaxing part of the weekend - the sound of the lapping water and taking in all the wildlife on the riverbanks. Sophie's instruction ensured we not only stayed safe but also had a great time as she enlightened us about the things we were seeing in the surrounding area. When we got back, we were tired but exhilarated from the trip and I would definitely recommend this activity. Whether it is, as we did, a family trip, with friends, or even for a birthday, anniversary or special occasion - I defy anyone not to be wowed and inspired by this highly enjoyable past time.
