Boarded a cruise here in Tilbury, and enjoyed a very efficient embarkation process including car parking, luggage drop off and boarding administration. No delays and we were on the ship in a jiffy. The terminal itself is historic, and was where the Windrush docked in the early 1950s. Disembarkation was again efficient and speedy following the cruise.

Recently refurbished to an impressive standard, Tilbury Cruise Terminal is once again a gateway to destinations of awesome wonder and discovery thanks to the resumption of cruising departures from this historic port. Ambassador cruise line’s flagship, the glorious Ambience, has chosen to make Tilbury its homeport. We recently enjoyed 11 days aboard this lovely ship, visiting Orkney Faroe & Iceland. The cruise terminal has ample long stay parking next door, at a cost of approx £9 per day. There are always plenty of helpful staff and baggage handlers on duty on the days when Ambience is in port. There are excellent toilets and a large comfortable departure lounge. We hope to holiday from here again soon.
