I recently bought my wife a ring to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We met with Karl and he did a fantastic job of walking us through the design process. Step by step, it was a fascinating, iterative process. We ended up with something we are both absolutely delighted with. Geographically close to Hatton Garden maybe - but a million miles away in terms of experience. No attempt to push anything on us but actually listening to what we wanted and working to what we wanted in terms of both design and budget. Very happy to recommend.

I went to Karl with the vaguest idea of what I wanted for an engagement ring, and left with something far, far better. What I liked about Karl is that he's a jewellery designer, not a salesman. With extreme patience he talked me through the fundamentals, sketched out idea after idea and searched high and low for the perfect stones. He was led solely by creating the perfect piece, and not by maxing out the budget. We were both delighted with the ring, and subsequently went back for our wedding rings.

Carl and Stacey were both really helpful, answered all my questions over email and in the shop, showed me various different stones and explained the 4Cs etc as I had no idea what I was doing really! The ring included a hidden halo using stones from an existing ring which they said might take a bit longer to make, but it was still ready to collect within two weeks, and my girlfriend (now fiancee!) loves it!

Karl has a knack for listening carefully to feedback and nudging to the best conclusion without feeling forced (which you may well get at other jewelers in Hatton Gardens).
