After completing my first-ever marathon in my 50s which I was completely delighted about, I found myself a few days later with an aggravating and debilitating injury which stopped me from running and meant I had to hobble everywhere. After 2 weeks of not getting better – and desperate to run again - I decided to do some proper research online and find out who looked the most skilled, qualified and well-reviewed physio in London. After quite a bit of research, I was struck by Scott’s website – the dedication to understanding the biomechanics of running - and the testimonials he had received. Well, I just got back from my first session, and I couldn’t be happier with Scott's sheer attention to detail in, first of all, diagnosing the issue and then how I could approach rehabilitation. He understands every muscle, tendon and joint in and the myriad inter-relationships between them in a really clear and nuanced way! I left feeling so much happier than when I walked in about my chances of making a full recovery under Scott’s guidance. He immediately followed up my session with emails detailing rehab exercises in video form and a phone call to check in with how I was feeling. So if you care about your running and want to stretch out your running as long as you can in life, and want someone who will take the time and effort to work out every aspect of the way you approach it, then I couldn’t recommend Scott more. Just brilliant in fact. And will going back for follow-ups during the full recovery period. Also, just to add what a great place his studio is –not only much more space than you get in a normal physio but his practice is situated in the middle of a great independent running shop with a running machine, great staff and a really welcoming café too. All pretty perfect.

As a competitive marathon runner, I debuted my first marathon in 2:11.39. Sadly, like many runners, injuries soon took over and I thought my marathon career was over before it even really started. Fortunately, I was recommended to see Scott at London Running Physio. Scott went above and beyond, providing me with the knowledge and treatment regime to help me get me back on the road. As a result of Scotts help, I am now back to full training pain free. I would recommend him to any runner suffering from injury, regardless of their level of competitiveness. Thanks again Scott Callan

I came to Scott with what I thought was a minor foot injury, ahead of the Berlin Marathon. He gave me a thorough examination and came to the conclusion it might be a stress fracture. Scott quickly referred me to a radiologist for an MRI scan, which then confirmed it was a stress fracture. All I can say is thank you Scott for your empathy, support and expert guidance. I can’t recommend him highly enough for anyone who has a running-related injury. There’s no-one better.

Scott was a fantastic physio to work with! As a high level distance runner competing in the European summer season, I was able to get time with him every week to work through any difficulties or ailments. Scott is an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly guy, who puts the patient above all else to ensure the utmost care is given to them. I look forward to coming back!

Scott is professional, kind, and knows his stuff. I was suffering from upper hamstring pain that had been lingering for over a year. Scott and the excellent doctor he referred me to helped me figure out the injury was proximal hamstring tendinopathy. With a targeted exercise regimen and a series of shockwave therapy treatments, I've finally been improving dramatically, and it is such a relief. I used to be a professional ballet dancer and so have seen plenty of PTs over the years and have high standards that Scott definitely meets. It was a relief to work with someone who is experienced working with athletes, though you don't need to be an athlete (or a runner!) to see him! Another great thing about Scott is that he doesn't pressure you to seek extra treatments or schedule extra appointments that you don't actually need--which, in the industry for pain and injury relief, is unfortunately rare. I trust Scott and highly recommend him to anyone who has an injury that they feel frustrated about and want help with!

Scott is great. I went to him as I started training for my first big race - a 500km ultra, and he helped me sort out various bits of my body which threatened to give up as I increased training volume. Great combination of physio expertise plus practical expertise as a runner himself.

Great physio, really helped me with my stubborn ITB syndrome. Referred me to great specialists, gave me lots of options for treatment and continued to support me when my recovery was slower than I liked. Highly recommend.

Scott quickly diagnosed a hip stress fracture (following a misdiagnosis from another physio) and expertly guided me through recovery. He also offered to chat to my coach at no extra cost so that I could begin a safe return to marathon training. I have learned a lot about my physiology thanks to Scott and feel I am better equipped for injury free running.

Good specific information and set me up with a good plan. Scott even went 20 minutes into his lunch break to answer all my questions.
