Went in with my husband and children a month ago. I had the soup which was very tasty, however I was disappointed with the lack of bread choices for their sandwiches. They only offer granary bread, and as someone with a seed allergy, the only option I had was soup. Maybe something to consider for future.

Incredibly rude staff - don’t allow dogs and just shouted at me in front of all the customers before I even stepped over the threshold with my tiny dog. Didn’t even offer to serve me outside. Very outdated and rude attitude - went up the road to the coffee shop which was fantastic and very welcoming. I certainly won’t be back to Maria’s or recommending it - what a shame as I love chocolates and coffee.

Stopped for a cream tea, £6 seemed expensive when the cafe down the road does them for £4.50 (we noticed this on the way back to the car!) Was a nice cream tea but annoying customer talking loudly about his choir 🙄 Lady who served us was not overly friendly, asked to use the loo but apparently there’s no water to wash hands…

Very expensive but you can see true love and attention to detail in the work they do. Everything is so well presented and loads of different designs in dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. They also do vegan as well if you swing that way. I would say taste of the chocolate is quite average and not worth the expense. You get a good amount of coco but it is very dry and not milky. There is a lot of choice and you can spend anything from £1 upto about £30 on 1 item.
