  Bought a 2015 caravan from Marquis in September 2020, turned up to collect it only to find it on jacks with no wheels on. We were told to go into the office to sign the paperwork while they refitted the wheels which we stupidly did. When we finally got out to the handover we found that most of the jobs that were listed to be done had not been sorted. Halfway through the process James who was excellent could see that we were not happy and asked if we would like him to carry on to which we said no. To cut a long story a bit shorter we had to wait approximately 5 weeks before we could finally get the van. We had lots of problems with the caravan and some were sorted and some such as damp around the door area took months which meant they had our van more than we did. On collection of the van after its Hab check and service we heard the guy say that the van was full of damp,when questioned they played it down . The manager Andrew was very rude to us in front of the staff and customers and when i replied I was ushered into the office. Eventually we were told that everything would be sorted under warranty. When the van went for its second Hab check and service they found readings of 23 in some areas and were told it wasn't a problem and didn't need investigating. 4 weeks later we took the van to another dealer to trade in for a new one and were told that our van was full of damp with readings in the high 50s but according to Marquis the area in question was showing 13. As we were advised readings don't change that much in such a short time considering the amount of damage on the internal wall. It was blue and pitted. As you can imagine we were distraught and went straight back to Marquis as we were advised as the offside awning rail had let go a long time ago as the gap was full of moss which should have been picked up as it is part of the Hab check. We left the van with Marquis thinking that it would be sorted but got a call a couple of days later saying that it was going to cost £1800. They were adamant that it was not part of the Hab check so therefore not their problem and we were told to remove our van from their site. We took the van and contacted Elddis as there is a 10yr warranty on their vans from new but were told that it was void because Marquis failed to get it transferred into our name but instead gave us their own 3yr warranty that isn't worth the paper it is written on . Personally i would suggest you get an independent damp check done if even considering buying one of their vans just to give yourself peace of mind and you will know then if the readings they give you are correct before purchasing,and after each Hab check . I would not like to see anybody else experience what we have been through.

  Right from meeting Martin from Marquis Exeter at the NEC camper show to the point we collected our new motorhome, the service was amazing from everyone. So much info and help whilst choosing, patient and informative with us and finally a brilliant hand over on the day of Collection. Every little detail was taken care of and we absolutely love our new MH.

  Stay clear of this company. I picked up my brand new motorhome home only to be stopped on the A38 by Police explaining the spare tyre was dragging on the floor which could have caused a serious accident. Took the van back to Marquis in Exeter only to have the same problem on my next trip. I took the van to another repairer all OK. Since purchasing the motorhome I have had the following problems. Table support faulty, gas leak, wheel alignment, battery replaced, drop down bed electrical fault, hinges loose, water leak, rear supports for seats broken and blinds faulty due to poor design fixings. Marquis have refused to carry out the repairs under warranty. Appalling service and workmanship. Stay clear. I have had the above repairs carried out at my expense and I intend to take Marquis to the County Court to claim my expenditure.

  Marquess Exeter are the fourth dealership that I have purchased a used caravan from and are head-and-shoulders above the others. From my dealings with Shaun in sales, the sales manager discussing weight upgrades and the young Lady who carried out the handover, all have been friendly, professional and courteous.
