In fairness, Bez and his team did a really good job on 70% of our kitchen, but the other 30% was just shoddy. Bez doesn’t pick up the phone or respond to our messages, so I had to call from a different number to get him to speak to me. When he finally sent his guys to fix it, we were only told they were coming with an hour’s notice. They did another shoddy job and were really rude to my heavily pregnant girlfriend. To his credit, Bez listened to my complaint about his team, and after a lot more chasing, 3 weeks later he sent guys back round to fix the surface but without actually calling or texting to say they were coming back. They turned up at 7pm when my partner was in labour, having our baby… I kid you not. I asked them to come back another time. Now, Bez no longer picks up our calls or texts and we’ve been waiting 4 months for a finished kitchen surface. I think they did try to help initially, but with such poor communication and customer service, why bother putting yourself through all of that?

Avoid at all costs. They are cheap because they provide a second rate cowboy service hiding behind a glossy shop front. Their workmanship is shoddy. They conduct themselves in an unprofessional manner by not responding to phone calls and emails and not rectifying problems. I have been left with a wonky worktop and they have refused to fix it. They stood in my kitchen demanding the balance of payment before I’d had a chance to realise. They claimed the wonky worktop was as a result of a wonky wall but a few simple measurements and a visit by a quantity surveyor proved otherwise. Save yourself long term stress and money and go elsewhere.

His quote was really reasonable and significantly cheaper than other suppliers. Our worktop was then installed promptly and it looks stunning. Thank you Bez and team!

I used META and would NOT recommend for the following reasons* in future I will only be using Croydon Granite. *Communication - I had to ask several times for an invoice after paying the deposit and had to chase up with whattsapp messages, emails and phone calls. Additionally, one of the slabs was not correctly installed and wasn’t given any notice of when the installers would be arriving. Undisclosed additional costs - when making a payment in store I was NOT charged for using a credit card but upon final payment 2.5% was added to the balance. I was never informed of the additional 2.5% either in person, via quote/invoice or through the web site (as of 21/06/22). Bez refused to accept this was an error on his part and lied saying that he had informed my wife. Additionally we were led to believe we were being charged the invoice amount but the 2.5% was added without our knowledge. I did agree to pay the 2.5% payment as they were insistent it needed paying. Workmanship - although the installation of my worktops are acceptable. I would not recommend based on how it was when they said it was ‘finished’: resin left hanging out the bottom of corner joins, dust on cabinet doors and missing silicone. They did rectify these issues once I had highlighted but this should be done without direction from a customer and as a tradesman I would have more pride in my work.

Unfortunately I have to agree with one of the previous reviews I felt communication was very poor throughout and I was constantly having to chase Bez for updates and answers, which left me feeling very uncertain about using their services. The communication was also poor between staff and they did not cut the granite slab to the correct size for the hob, which led to them having to do this on site and covering my neighbours car with dust. Price was competitive but I wish I had paid more for less stress and hassle.
