Situated by the main road driven by Max Max and all his friends, the camp site is well governed by prohibition signs posted at every opportunity. With only one vintage toilet block open for the entire site, the men's has three toilets and three showers. The showers are a press button affair that give 10 seconds of really hot water with a 5 second pause been blasts. The cubicles are small and there is nowhere to hang your clothes and towel to keep them dry. The 4 wash basins are directly in front of the four toilet cubicles, so brushing your teeth is a multisensory affair. There are no bins anywhere. The adjacent train station ensures that the horn blasts of every arriving train, day and night, is ideal for train spotters, and the tiny play area consisting of a small slide and rope-climb will keep the kiddies amused for hours. The helicoptor training school nearby specialising in night-flight training is brilliant for insomniacs wishing for that 3am helicopter thrill. Clipboarded staff closely monitor all your fellow campers, so you will feel safe at all times. There's no shop on site.

Second visit here with a motorhome, nice quiet site, two minute walk to the train station, and Frampton Arms.

We we're welcomed by Mike who was friendly and informative. Unfortunately there was some sort of problem in the top toilet block which took days to rectify for some reason which presented problems on the busying site. Apart from that all the staff were great and the site too. Probably will not return due to the VERY adjacent 24 hour railway with their horns blasting on every passing, even through the night.
