We’ve seen this pub evolve many times over the past 25yrs. Now it’s a carvery and part of the Greene King group. If you get the carvery when it’s fresh, it’s fantastic. The portions are very good and the staff are friendly. It can get very busy on a Sunday, so try to book to avoid waiting. This pub also services the hotel next door with a buffet breakfast. You can pay per head to enjoy it even if you’re not a guest at the hotel. The children’s play area has shrunk considerably since it was a Wacky Warehouse in my day, but they use the space well and if it isn’t too busy, the children do enjoy themselves. Parking: Parking is available, but they recently introduced a reg system, so make you register when you arrive to avoid a ticket!

Had a lovely catch up with friends, lovely carvery, wonderful chatty staff even cook came out and asked were we ok and having fun. we have now decided to make this a monthly meet up so see you in July😀

Came here for a family celebration and despite turning up with 16 people, Eddie and the staff here we're amazing. Always friendly staff here and food is very good. Lovely garden too. Thank you see you next time.
